Meet the Founder
Collectrade was founded by me, Laith Ebraham, a longtime collector who has been immersed in the comic world for over 12 years. My love for Spider-Man and Venom turned into an obsession with overflowing long boxes, walls covered in slabs, and countless hours spent at comic stores and conventions. From the weekly Wednesday picks ups to grail 1st appearances, I have managed to build my collection into something I am proud of and excited to share with others.
As years went on, my list of favorite characters continued to expand to the likes of Deadpool, Batman, Ghost Rider and more. To compensate for this, I would start selling my doubles, lower grade books or even books I convinced myself I would rebuy, to continue to fund my passion. I tried to reuse my collection to explore new characters and worlds that are an escape for so many like me. Money from my sales would just directly go back into the collection but at a cost. Fees from marketplaces or vendors only giving 60-70% of FMV, meant I was constantly having to make the difference or just trading down in value.
